![]() ![]() In D2 the only thing between me and a zod is time and luck unless I take steps outside the design path to hunt and risk on the open markets. ![]() A system sanctioned pay-to-progress pathway corrupts this feeling. Diablo, at its core, has always been about min-maxing and character advancement. But the system as is creates a hugely negative impact in my perception of this game. I’m not the 1%, hell not even the top 75%. There’s a reason so many people cite cosmetic upgrades only, and it’s because at its core you’re playing two games with one platform, and one game is much worse ESPECIALLY compared to its counterpart. Let’s be honest here, it is absolutely not mutually exclusive and for many people is a humongous turn off. The persistent claims that the feeling you have of not being able to enjoy things is invalid simply because others are paying to enjoy them at a different pace keeps washing over every thread. ![]() There’s no doubt the core of the game they made here is great, but I’m constantly seeing the arguement that it’s stupid for people not to be able to enjoy this game because others are using a pay to win (more) system to advance faster. ![]()
